Meet Our Team at EERPHC
Sophia Stasiuk, MPH
Sophia Stasiuk serves as the Regional Shared Services Coordinator for the EERPHC, where she works closely with member communities to strengthen regional public health capacity, coordinate shared services, and support collaborative initiatives that improve efficiency and access to essential public health programs.
She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences and Master of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. As a graduate intern with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Bureau of Substance Addiction Services, Sophia contributed to statewide harm reduction initiatives, including expanding access to naloxone and supporting overdose prevention efforts.
Sophia is passionate about harm reduction, overdose prevention, and building strong local public health systems through collaboration, innovation, and community engagement. She also has a strong interest in environmental health, and women’s health. In her free time, Sophia enjoys going to the beach and cooking for her friends and family.

Regional Coordinator

Jessie Palm, MSW, LICSW
Jessie Palm, MSW, LICSW, is a Regional Social Worker with the EERPHC. She works in coordination with local boards of health and community partners to strengthen access to behavioral health and social services, with a focus on health equity, prevention, and trauma-informed systems of care.
She is a Certified MSW Intern Supervisor and Mental Health First Aid Instructor. She holds a Master of Social Work and BA in Mass Communication. Jessie serves on the Board of Directors for SeniorCare Inc. and the Affordable Housing Trust for the Town of Essex.

Regional Epidemiologist

Sam Swartz, MPH
Sam holds a bachelor's degree in Genetics from the University of New Hampshire, where she honed her love for science and gained a deeper understanding of the natural world.
Sam went back to school at UMass Amherst to complete her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology. Her summer internship with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, was centered around foodborne illness and disease outbreak prevention. Sam’s main public health passions revolve around outbreak mitigation, food-safety, and equitable access to third spaces.
Sam is always willing to tackle every public health related issue that comes her way, and she’s determined to do so with compassion and with a deep understanding of the communities she’s serving. In her free time, Sam enjoys doing pottery, hiking, bouldering, cooking, and stringing a hammock just about anywhere that will hold one. She is thrilled to join the EERPHC and to be an active resource for each of the four towns!
